Extensive Counseling

Our therapists and counselors spend significant time each day helping your child gain perspective on their personal and family dynamics and on the meaning and future course of his or her life. Through therapeutic wilderness experiences, behavioral therapy, a modified Twelve Step approach to drug and behavioral problems, psychoeducational groups, and traditional individual and group psychotherapy, your child begins to understand the issues that are causing them to struggle and is given the tools needed to create solutions.

Extensive Counseling

Counseling focuses on current issues: resolving conflicts, discussing strong feelings, processing solutions (as issues come up), seeing behavior objectively, gaining a sense of control over their behavior, and finding sources of self-confidence. We also work to resolve the frustrations, fears, angers, and felt inadequacies that have led to your child's problems. We explore these issues through daily journal writing and both individual and group therapy sessions.
