Parent Coaching

For parents wanting help creating change in their family's dynamics, we offer parent coaching. Working with a certified parent coach, parents focus on present issues and move toward a future that they design. Coaching empowers parents to generate new and creative solutions in order to promote long-term change within the family. Our coaches connect with parents via telephone and work with them to develop successful strategies for working with their adolescent, to implement effective rules, and to create healthy boundaries within the home.

Sarah Mack, CPC
Certified Parent Coach

Sarah's coaching empowers parents to shift family dynamics, which are often strained after years of dealing with a struggling adolescent, and to create long-term change. Her coaching helps parents set systems in place that restore harmony to the family. Sarah has vast experience working with families challenged with a teenager who is pushing boundaries, making poor choices, and generally creating chaos in the family. Sarah has worked in the adolescent treatment industry for more than 15 years. She is the founder of Oregon Transition Homes and directs Referral Relations and Marketing for the Catherine Freer Wilderness Therapy Programs. She has also provided in-home mental health and case management services to high-risk families and is experienced in working with a family dealing with substance abuse issues. One of the most rewarding and challenging aspects of Sarah's work with families is in helping them prepare for their child's successful transition home from a treatment program. Her approach to coaching puts parents at ease and her insight and expertise allow her to quickly assess family dynamics and assist parents in setting and obtaining goals that will restore balance to the family. Sarah is certified as a Parent Coach and graduated with honors from Linfield College with a degree in Psychology and Sociology.
